Plasma Pen Fibroblasting

Updated: Mar 14, 2023

What Plasma Pen does?

Nitrogen plasma energy transfers to the skin’s epidermal layer, whilst also heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure. This micro-trauma affects the superficial epidermis, as well as a deeper zone within the dermis – particularly the fibroblasts.

Plasma Pen is an innovative fibroblasting device. The unique fractional and permeating tips by Plasma Pen work to evenly distribute plasma at a lower temperature over a wider area; whilst Plasma Pen nano-probes deliver concentrated nitrogen plasma gas non-invasively to the epidermal layer of the skin. The results are almost instant, and in many cases will last up to 3 years!

What is the Plasma Pen treatment process?Step 1 – With the Plasma Pen, the precision plasma arc causes immediate superficial micro-trauma to the upper epidermal layer of the skin.

Step 2 – This micro-trauma stimulates the healing process for the creation of new, rejuvenated, tight and smooth tissue over the next 12 weeks.

Step 3 – During this phase collagen and elastin are produced, plumping the structure of the skin to soften and eliminate lines and wrinkles.

Skin tightening & repair

As we age, our skin’s natural production of collagen molecules slows down dramatically – leading to a deflationary effect on the surface of our skin. This causes us to get fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin as we get older.

As the scaffolding of our skin deteriorates, it loses it’s natural laxity and texture, as the elastin that underpins our skin’s elasticity begins to wear out.Plasma Pen fibroblsating treatments can support this loss in structure with our range of non-invasive, soft-surgical face lifts and skin tightening treatments. Our non-invasive, soft-surgical skin tightening treatment method stimulates the fibroblasts in the skin to significantly tighten, repair and eliminate wrinkles.

First 3-7 days

The innovative fibroblasting treatments with the Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is known to deliver compressed downtimes, higher velocity recovery and superior results. Here is what to expect from each stage of the healing journey following a soft-surgery fibroblasting treatment by Plasma Pen.

In the first 3 to 7 days, tiny carbon crusts appear on the skin as a sign of the new epithelial tissue. These carbon crusts serve as a natural and protective biological dressing, that will flake off naturally as the newly formed and rejuvenated skin appears underneath.

The fibroblasting treatment with a Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International creates Type 111 collegan, that works to minimise the effect and appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and skin aging.

1-12 weeks post treatment

The comprehensive healing response is characterised by the strengthening, plumping, inflation and lifting of the skin. We start to see the reversal of premature degeneration and a stimulation of white blood cells, filling in any gaps created through micro-trauma.

12 weeks – 3 years

12 weeks post treatment, the skin starts to form new blood vessels and release growth factors. These growth factors include “cytokines” – small proteins that help modulate our immune response, our cell ageing and the repair and growth of new cells.
